In honor of National Poetry month I have decided Re-blog one (or more) WordPress (or other) poets a day. I am not very good with rules. So with that in mind I would like to introduce you to an other. I recently attended a slam poetry workshop at Notre Dame University taught by Marty McConnel. It was incredible and inspiring. She spoke about the poetry and the performance. I really had never realized how much was going on in the Slam world. This was one of those moments when I thought, “YES, YES, YES, … I LOVE THIS.” So In honor of National Poetry month and 6 year olds everywhere who change the rules to the game on a dime, I would like to show you a video of a poet every day in April, starting with the very dynamic Marty McConnell.
