Maybe, Maybe not. Like most people, I am a reflection of what you want to see. The sky reflects blue or red light from the sun. I reflect what you think you see or perhaps want to see. So … there you go.
Hello Betty! Just wanted to say thank you for visiting my blog, and I’ve really enjoyed your poems on here! I like your very short ones, they seem to make a lot more sense than most I see, they have meaning and feeling I can relate to! And I shall be back again to read some more!
Suzy :D
Thank you and your welcome. I really enjoy looking at your travel pictures. I can only travel vicariously right now, but I want to put together a year of pictures outside one window to watch the seasons change. So in a way I am time traveling. te he.
I wanted to stop by and thank you kindly for following my blog. It’s pleasing to see another haiku writer on wordpress and I hope I don’t disappoint you with my own haikus. I wish you all the fortune to continue on :)
Thanks Christine. Your welcome. I like reading your blog as well because anything that helps me keep a sense of humor as a mom is a very good thing. : )
Hi, Betty! It was nice to see you ‘liking’ on my blog, so I decided to check out your blog in return. I see you’re an aspiring haiku writer like me. (You can see my haiku blog at: http://haiku-koo-koo.blogspot.com/)
I used to do the haiku-with-picture thing too, but I found myself using photos as a ‘crutch’ for my haiku, rather than letting the words tell the story. So my haiku blog has been picture-less since mid-September of last year. It’s definitely more challenging, but sometimes I miss using my photos that way.
I started out without pictures, but then I read pictures attract attention to your blog, then I thought I would put all the pictures together in a video and watch the seasons change. I do not think you can even make it on freshly pressed without a picture. So I am pro-picture now. Or more like I recognize the importance of images. I also had to buy an expensive camera in college and now I have an excuse to use it. But having made that argument I love minimalism and haiku is perfect for that aesthetic. The picture is the typography or the picture it paints in the minds eye. And your blogs background image provides an image and a central theme as well. So rambly rambly ….. I like both. : )
You are welcome, and thank you. I think being surrounded by so many inspiring writers has made me feel like maybe I could do it too. Everyone starts somewhere. So that is what I am doing. : )
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for deciding to follow it. I appreciate it very much, and I hope you will continue to enjoy my posts.
I’ve read a bit of your blog, and I already love your poetry and photographs. Both are lovely! I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts in the future. :)
What a lovely image on your cover page and your ‘About’ is beautifully minimal. Thank you for stopping by my blog and allowing me to find yours in return. I look forward to following your richly minimal approach to life!
I have been awarded … light!; and as I have unearthed some of your light I would like to pass it on. Tag. To see what it all means have a look at: http://mlewisredford.wordpress.com/2013/03/18/shine-on-award/, but, please, if you don’t want to carry the torch awhile, I will not be offended as long as you keep on shining anyway … beam
Hi betty, thanks for stopping by my blog – I hope you enjoy following my haiku-led posts. Nice to see what lovely haiku can come from a person`s window : )
Thanks for finding my blog, liking and following. I do like the bedroom window postings. Nothing remains the same, it is always in a state of flux. I like the way these posts reflect that.
Hi there,
Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, and read my poem. I really do appreciate it. Love your About Me by the way x
hello Betty , Thank you for following my Aalons blog. I am a started and I used to communicate with images instead of writings. So I am pleased to follow you to , so I can learn and exchange what I would like to share . For me it is not so easy but I ll try . So if you want and are interested to , do not hesitate to offer me your comments as they are. See you soon , Great Bart
i do not believe that you are a reflection ( as your posted above ) .You are a person and expresses your inner moment . if one takes that seriously , they will see that you are different at that moment. That is revealing . A reflection is just a missed confirmation about your inner. I am not into a confirmation , so boring. :)
Your following my “Randa Lane…” blog makes me feel GREAT! Glad you liked “Haiku With a Smile” — I usually try to include my haiku in the blog several times a week. I’ve just begun to explore your writing but already see evidence of true talent!
Hugs,
-R-
Just stopping by to thank you for your recent visit on Shift Key and to peruse your interesting site. Well, you know I know who knows us both. Enjoying your haiku.
Ah… only one name comes to mind who knows us both and knows our hearts, and heals hearts, and that is Jesus. I know that because he has healed me from horrific childhood abuse from 8 to 12 years of age, these many years later.
Thanks so much for visiting and following my blog! Glad you enjoyed my haiku. It hasn’t been long since I’ve been experimenting with the form and it’s sooo addictive hehe :) I enjoyed reading your haiku and look forward to reading more! Best wishes to you!
Betty, thanks for your follow to my blog. I love the “micropoem” that you’ve posted here on your “about” page. And… I think that maybe you know me too…
This is perhaps the best, most surprising and fascinating ‘about’ I think I have read. All in four words.
