Apocalypse day twelve

Could have been

In a perfect world….

Well it would be different.  There would be love and acceptance. There would be simple answers to complex problems. Simple solutions like laws or commandments. And everyone would agree to them and everyone would live happily ever after. I would totally love that. That is a little more true for some people. You work hard and things fall into place. I understand.  If that had happened to me it would be very difficult to understand that the rules are different for other people.  That working hard is not always enough because you never get the breaks that get you ahead.  Others are never given the chance to work hard or if they are they are fired after one mistake. Some women are deserted by boyfriends or husbands and have to take care of families by themselves.  There are a million not perfect scenarios that change the rules. That change your choices. Sometimes choice comes down to the lesser of two evils. Sometimes you are the evil. The selfish, the proud, the tempted. Some of us get second chances.  Some third, fourth and on and on. Most don’t.

So what is the answer?  Condemnation. Forgiveness.
